I started with McCallen & Sons, Inc with a prior 20 year career in the petroleum retail marketing industry, I have engaged in managing individual fueling stations to evaluating and marketing entire geographic regions. Understanding customer buying patterns, industry standards and industry trends are the baseline of my experience. As a Texaco employee, I supervised and marketed a territory of Texaco owned retail fuel outlets. Part of my responsibility was awareness and understanding the impacts of the retail fuel price, brand ability, the competition, market impacts, etc. As a ConocoPhillips employee, I worked with independent fueling station owners/operators. My position required a strong knowledge of the retail petroleum business as well as the regional marketing characteristics from the fuel refinery to the consumer's gasoline tank. Analyzing our competition was key in marketing. A large part of my position entailed bringing new owner/operators to the 76 brand. As a result, I researched hundreds of variously branded fueling stations over the years.
